Welcome to the world, McKenna!
My grand-daughter McKenna was born Saturday evening, more than 9 weeks early. She weighs 2 lbs. 5 oz. and though very tiny, is doing very well! She came out crying and breathing on her own, and is full of spunk. Of course I fell in love with her the minute I saw her. I am hoping to be able to hold her tomorrow.
The way things happened made for a wild ride, and even though it's not what any of us had planned, it looks like it will all be ok.
I missed out on 2 months of knitting time... I'd better get moving on finishing up that other project, and making a few preemie hats!
McKenna's arrival put a wrench in my plans to go to Sock Summit, and while I'm disappointed, HERE is where I need to be...where I want to be. Kim is going to need a lot of help in the coming weeks. I want to be the one helping her.
I can't believe I'm a grandma!! Squeeee!

Congrats! No one is ever prepared for the NICU but I'm convinced that the nurses are straight from heaven. Get knitting, this girl needs something to keep her tiny self warm even if it is summer!
Trish, congrats to all of you! You will love being a grandma to a precious little girl. I'll miss not meeting you in Portland but I know God will bring us together another time. You'll all be in my prayers. I hope you post pictures often to your blog.
Congratulations, Grandma Trish! I'll miss seeing you in Portland, but you obviously have much more important things to tend too. If you have the book Knitting for Peace, check out the cute preemie jester hats.
Congratulations to be a granny! The best wishes for the little girl, her parents and you.
Greetings Jule
She is absolutely precious! Enjoy every single minute with her. Congratulations!
Congrats! I hope she is continuing to do well!
How is everything going Trish? Hugs and blessings coming your way!!!
