Join the Mother Bear Project!

My sister just sent me the link to the Mother Bear Project website. We are going to order the pattern and do our part. After reading this how can you not be inspired to send a little love to these children so in need of something soft to hug? Check out the website, read all the stories under the "news" link and see if you get the inspiration to join in.

Leave a message in my comments if you plan on joining the project! I will be sending a set of my beaded stitch markers to one person who lets me know that they are joining in on this wonderful cause. I will chose my winner on Monday, Oct. 18 (which just so happens to be my birthday) .

I'm in. I'm all for saving the world, one good deed at a time. Hopefully, my knitting group from church will join in with me. I must also admit that the stitch markers were a draw, as well. I really need some and my husband is starting to look at my yarn shop receipts in a strange way.

I'll definately make some bears after finishing my Christmas knitting. They are too cute! I also enjoy supporting afghans for Afghans - there are so many charities out there, but I have lots of time and yarn!

Hi! Count me in! I'm sending for the pattern tomorrow.
I checked out the site and loved seeing the little ones with their bears. Right now I'm doing Hallowigs, and my last charity knitting was the Critter Knitter Knitathon for Homeless animals in early summer.I can just imagine making bears with the BRIGHT yarn leftover from the Hallowigs!!

That was my thought, too--use leftovers from the Hallowig for bear duds :-)
